AI – A not so new, revolution

We have been using AI and teaching AI about us for while now and definitely long before the recent introduction of ChatGPT into our lives and the increased discourse on all things AI. But I think many of us have not recognised our previous use of AI for what it was. For example, a tool like Grammarly keyboard on our phones that uses AI systems to advise us on the use of language, tone, grammar and context all to aid effective writing and communication.

Recent AI development are simply extensions of this. These new development however have some of us terrified about what it would mean for us. And this is valid concern and I advised a considered approach to the use of AI to prevent unintended consequences.

Many are already embracing the AI revolution, I was recently speaking to a very successful fiction author who uses AI services to support her creativity.  It doesn’t create the work published but it inspires it. Using tools such as Chat GPT, chatbot that uses natural language processing to create humanlike conversational dialogue or Midjourney, a AI image generator or QuillBot, a grammar and writing tool or even Bing and Bard, other AI chat that provide answers and generate images.

All these tools are incredible powerful tools that can transform our ways of working. Just look at the use in business already, we have AI minute takers that allow us to remove this administrative task from someone task list to free them up for something else. It also support those who would struggle with some activities by acting as an assistive technology. (assistive technology -being tools that aid those with disabilities).

This is the AI opportunity. We can use it and lean into and solve real problems. That what I am doing with my AI powered tech company. https://getcoachedonline.co.uk/
